Our music program is designed to offer students a comprehensive program that focuses on creating highly talented and diverse musicians. Our program allows students to participate in orchestra, learn to play keyboard, and learn to record and produce music in our state of the art music studio. Music accelerates brain development and boosts mental processing and problem solving. Additionally, it boosts self-confidence and self-discipline. Lastly, music improves fine and gross motor skills and expressive and receptive language skills.
Students who participate in orchestra will have the opportunity to learn to play woodwind, brass, percussion, or string instruments.
Participation in orchestra allows students to develop teamwork and goal-setting skills.
Learning to read music and performing increasingly complex works helps students develop patience and perseverance, which are skills that translate to all areas of life. Students are eligible for participation in orchestra beginning in 4th grade.
