Athletics
We promote physical education as a part of a structured curriculum that supports long-term healthy habits. Tennis
Diamond Minds is a member of the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and plays in Region 8 competitions. We offer tennis classes twice weekly to our first through eighth grade students. It is our desire to enrich their lives through this sport, which provides excellent health benefits, as well as mental and emotional growth. The children also receive opportunities to compete with USTA tennis programs in the surrounding area.
Flag Football
Our school has several flag football teams that grouped by age and compete weekly with local teams. Elementary and middles students are welcome to participate. Registration for flag football takes place in August and the season begins during the first semester.
Gymnastics
We offer gymnastics to our students to help develop their physical strength, flexibility, power, agility, coordination, grace, balance and control.
Yoga
Yoga is an ancient discipline of both physical and mental strengthening. The root of the word ‘yoga’ means “to yoke” or “to unite”. All of the goals of yoga can effectively help our students to maximize balance, wisdom and a sense of inner strength that enriches their academic life while strengthening the body.
Each morning students alternate between indoor yoga sessions and calisthenics outdoors, weather permitting. Calisthenics are exercises using the body’s own weight as resistance. They are a means of developing physical strength, endurance, and cardiovascular health.
